“ One of my favorite spots in the east bay. Walk through a grocery and tucked in the back is this little bar and about 4 ... ”
“ The saag paneer is just like someone makes in their house in Punjab. I have stopped making saag at home after I tasted theirs. The chicken tikka masala divine and to satiate your palette there are always local craft beers on tap. Not to forget Simtra. ”
“ The Indian restaurant in the back of Bottles is seriously the best!!! Its crazy that not many people from India come here but rather frequent Viks Chaat. Maybe they havent heard of Bottles yet and hopefully run across my review. My friend said it taste like his grandmas cooking. They are from India. I love the saag paneer, Rogan Josh, eggplant and butter chicken!!! Not too crazy about the okra. The naan is super buttery and delicious. Excited to try all their other dishes!!! When they bring them to the table, you can feel they are teeming with Life. Again, I dont know why more people from India dont frequent this restaurant and store. It is mainly enjoyed by heavyset Americans who come to the bar to watch sports sad puppy face. Help spread the word that this is the best Indian restaurant in the Bay Area and beyond!!! The best. ”
“ Krispy Krunchy Chicken sold here and Indian Cuisine deli kitchen in back. Friendly staff. You feel welcome every time you visit. Free parking. Beer bar also serves local brewed IPAs. A Big Screen TV is impressive. ”
“ My favorite place to enjoy craft beer and meet new people. 12 beers on tap and a large bottle selection. Great Punjabi style Indian food restaurant in the back and a Krispy Krunchy franchise fried chicken in the front. Theres also massive 4K TV for sports, music, or Chromecasting from your phone. Bottles is a great place to visit alone because theres almost always an interesting person to talk to, but there are also tables for groups looking for a place to hang out. Bottles is quiet enough to have a conversation, but has that pleasant buzz you get when friendly people are enjoying some beer together. Beer clubs, home brewers, and bottle share events fill the place up from time to time and offer a chance to try beers youre unlikely to have access to anywhere else. Its not a bad idea to bring a good bottle with you in case you stumble upon an event and want to join in the sharing, but more often than not, folks will pour everyone a taste as long as there arent too many people. Finally, Bottles also has an clothing store in case you need to attend a formal Indian event, an Indian grocery store with spices and Indian versions of familiar brands the masala Ruffles are pretty tasty, and some cookware and produce. Everything you might need in one spot! Daljit and his family run the place and are there 7 days a week, sometimes working 12 hour days. When I settle my bill I feel good about it my money is going to people who have earned it, not a absent owner underpaying his employees while raking in the cash, or worse yet a corporation driven only by profit. Ive seen Daljit drive customers home himself on several occasions after talking them out of driving drunk. Ive even seen him push a motorcycle into the shop to seal the deal when a guy wouldnt leave it outside overnight. So in summary, go to Bottles because theres great beer, great food, great people, and to support having a cool spot locally so we dont have to drive to Berkeley, Oakland, or San Francisco when we want to go out. ”
“ Love this place. Great beer. Great Indian food. Great service. Hidden gem! We go here for dinner and a beer or two every week ”
“ More taps than seats and most every one is good. Plus great food. ”
“ Excellent fresh Indian cuisine is delightful in a friendly, homey atmosphere. This bar restaurant is a local gem in the El Sobrante culinary and beer lovers scene. Features rare brews and a unique no frills man cave vibe. The BEST place ever to eat and enjoy a Warriors game in a friendly and cheery atmosphere. ”
